"My job is the easy part. Those guys are the ones doing all the hard work trying pick all that stuff up," Carr said.

Davis isn't one to analyze his chances of being inducted, but he was exhilarated to find out how far he'd gotten in this year's balloting.
And many of them were right near the goal line.
"They were consistent, the calls were made properly," coach Bill O'Brien said. "We had a few things here and there, but as far as operation of the offense for the first game out, I thought they did a decent job."
